You may have noticed we have a new “tab” up in the navigation menu: Reviews. This will take you to a new section of the site containing — you guessed it — music reviews. Some of you old-timers may remember a tagline that Glorious Noise used to sport: “This is not a reviews site.”

So why the change of heart?

Well, as more and more people visit the site, more bands and labels have started sending us their cds. Our line was that if their cd changed our life, we’d be sure to let everybody know about it. But this never felt very fair. So now the new policy (for now — we’ll see how it goes) is that we’ll at least put up a link for every cd we receive, and we’ll try to review as many as possible.

We’ll also sometimes review cds that we actually go out and buy if we think you ought to know about them.

We’re not committing to add new reviews everyday, but it ought to be fairly regular, so check back often. (By the way, have you noticed that we have been busting our asses to get something new on this here main page every weekday? It’s not always going to happen, but we’re going to try!)

And in case you’re wondering what happened to the Radio tab and the News tab, the pages are still out there, but we’re eventually going to merge their contents into the Features page and the Links page.
