“‘It’s really important,’ he added, ‘that the Keane experience is undiluted by anyone else interpreting the brand.’” Is what the article quotes image consultant CEO Ben Wolstoneholme as saying in another interview.
I am out-of-character shocked by this. Am I to understand that Wolstoneholme would prefer that a fan adhere to the his company’s crafted vision of the band rather than think or feel his/herself?
I’m no naive music rube: I know that bands have stylists and such. This approches some new insane plane of silly marketing. I vote no.
