Leonard Cohen – Live in Manhattan

NPR has a live Leonard Cohen show from the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. It’s not the complete set, but it’s a great collection of songs:

“Dance Me to the End of Love”

“The Future”

“Chelsea Hotel”

“Tower of Song”

“Suzanne”

“The Partisan”

“Hallelujah”

“Recitation With N.L.”

“Take This Waltz”

“So Long Marianne”

“First We Take Manhattan”

“Democracy”

  1. That’s great! I’ll definitely check it out.

Tickets for the Chicago show went on sale this morning at 10:00. I tried to get them through Ticketblaster and they were completely gone before one minute went by. Not surprisingly, hundreds of tickets were posted on their convenient “TicketExchange Marketplace.” Those were reasonably priced btw $211 and $900+. No surprise there, but I still don’t understand how it’s legal.

If I’m going to buy a scalped ticket, I’d rather take my chances with an actual human outside the venue. At least that dude can probably use the money.

  2. After being bummed about not wanting to shell out $200 to see him live, this made my week. Thanks.
