Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament Mugging Caught on Tape
Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament and a band employee, Mark Anthony Smith, were mugged outside producer Brendan O’Brien‘s Southern Tracks Studios on April 27 and security camera footage has now surfaced. In it you see three dudes run up to Ament’s rented Jeep and smash the driver’s side window. Ament, who was in the passenger side, gets out and tries to run away but is tackled by one of the muggers. He reportedly suffered minor injuries in the afternoon attack.

CNN reports that the suspects made off with more than $7,300 in goods and cash and Ament’s passport. Dude carries some expensive gadgets in that backpack!

I only hope the muggers got away with all of PJ’s master tapes, but sadly, I fear that is not the case.

I can only hope that the cancer that eventually kills the three muggers in a slow, miserably painful fashion is shared by sab, who finds it necessary to make sick jokes on the occasion of this vicious attack. And, FYI, dude, a Blackberry and two laptops were part of what was stolen, hence the high price tag — do your homework before you shoot off your big mouth!
