According to Billboard this week “earns the distinction of notching the lowest-ever sales frame for a No. 1 album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data in 1991” and predicts “there’s potential to break that record too, as no blockbuster albums are on the horizon.”

1. Taylor Swift – “Speak Now” – 52,000 (down 32%)

2. Nicki Minaj – “Pink Friday” – 39,000 (down 36%)

3. Bruno Mars – “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” – 38,000 (down 15%)

4. Daft Punk – “TRON: Legacy” soundtrack – 34,000 (down 37%)

5. Eminem – “Recovery” – 33,000 (down 47%)

6. Rihanna – “Loud” – 33,000 (down 46%)

7. Kanye West – “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” – 33,000 (down 43%)

8. Mumford & Sons’ “Sigh No More” – 31,000 (down 20%)

9. Jason Aldean – “My Kinda Party” – 29,000 (down 15%)

10. “Country Strong” soundtrack- 28,000 (up 477%)

• Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Jan. 9) totaled 5.4 million units

• Digital track sales this past week totaled 29.8 million downloads
