Ryan Walsh and Hallelujah the Hills

Have any of you guys read Ryan Walsh's book on Boston (the city, not the band) and Van Morrison's album Astral Weeks ? https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/asin/0735221367/gloriousnoise-20 Have you listened to the author's band, Hallelujah the Hills? He sent me an advance of their new album, I'm You ,...

Ads

Disabled the google ads on GLONO again. Was making less than a dollar a month. Not worth it, especially when it started inserting itself into the page and screwing up the layout. Nope. Re: New interview with Neil Young

Wish this place still had a merch store. I'd buy and wear the hell out of some shirts/hats. This is still up, ha ha: https://www.cafepress.com/glono We haven't sold any cafepress items since 2006! Back in the early days (2002-2005) we made a bunch of money (a grand total of $678.03!) from cafepress...

New interview with Neil Young

https://www.wired.com/story/neil-young/ Great, wide-ranging interview but here's an interesting part: Young provides the squeaky voice for grizzled, fedora-wearing reporter Clyde Coil. The videos’ presence on Neil Young Archives is likely the first official acknowledgment of Young’s mid-’90s online ...

R.I.P. Nick Tosches

Nick Tosches was a great, irreverent first-wave rockcrit peer of Lester Bangs and R. Meltzer. And if you have a sec (it took me an hour), you really should read (or re-read) his Vanity Fair piece on seeking out the world's last opium den in 2000: https://archive.vanityfair.com/article/share/c4bb6adc...
