Re: Ryan Walsh and Hallelujah the Hills

The live album is great. Sounds like there are maybe 15 people in the room?

Re: Coronavirus: How ya doing?

lol, that seems...non-optimal. I’ve been listening to the local college radio station - it gives me at least some sense of community.

Re: Coronavirus: How ya doing?

Mostly hunkered down, while trying to convince my teenagers to at least go out less frequently, if they have to go out at all. My son’s college also just broke for an extended spring break, so the house will be full for a bit. He’s pretty freaked out. We also have two elderly family members that we’...

Re: Johnny Cash vs Gordon Jenkins vs Little Brother Montgomery

It’s really fun to listen to the evolution of that song. I don’t recall hearing of any other issues with Johnny Cash taking songs without attribution, and I’m glad he kicked some money over to at least one of these guys.

Re: Albums You've Got More Than 2 Copies Of

If we’re just talking vinyl to vinyl, pretty much most of the early Elvis Costello records, because I wore them all out. Re: The Smiths: The Making of Meat Is Murder

This was great.

Did you ever have any doubt that Johnny Marr looked that cool playing guitar in the studio? Everything I expected from him.

I feel like every time I see a clip from Whistle Test, it’s great. They must have all sorts of interesting stuff tucked away.

This really is an amazing album. I’ve been listening to it straight out for almost 2 weeks.

Re: Best of the Decade... Share yours!

Yeah, my listening goes down every decade, so it’s a smaller sample. Still, there’s some stuff I liked a lot. Titus Andronicus-The Monitor The War on Drugs-Lost in a Dream Aphex Twin-Syro Lucy Dacus-Historian (she was also great in concert) Sufjan Stevens-Carrie and Lowell Sleigh Bells-Treats PJ Har...
