See, this kind of shit just pisses me off.
Hey dude, it's called PUNCTUATION! Use it!!! Open up a whole brave new world of periods, commas, uppercase letters and so on.

Christ almighty - you type the way a cokehead talks!

As for his music, I'll go along with Jeffie's take.

While I don't agree with Jake's asessment of the lounge trend (I won't hear of anyone bad-mouthing Tipsy!), no one can argue the genius of Esquivel.

It's a colder, more uptight world today after his passing.

I'll second that - 'Songs The Lord taught Us' pretty well sums up The Cramps. Technically, you don't need many more, unless you dig 'em. But they are incredibly fun and twisted in almost everything they've put out!

That's true - As an example, Steve Earle got off the junk (even tho he's still pretty fat) and he hasn't suffered much musically. Hey, now there's a thought - Steve Earle and Elvis Presley: Unplugged. Man, would it have been cool to hear Steve & Elvis do a duet on 'Guitar Town'...or 'Copperhead Road...

It's a shame about Elvis. He was pretty cool way back in the day, but he eventually turned into a joke. His doughy white fans didn't care how crappy he became and continue to prop up his 'legend', which is sad, because now that's all we can think about when we think about Elvis - big fat Vegas Elvis...

Just picked up the seminal Cramps cd - man, does it get any better than this? How did youth culture go from this cool, fucked-up, Alex Chilton-produced psycho-billy to crap like Slipknot? Kids today, I swear.

Everyone needs to rush out and get The Cramps right now!

One last note: The best all-around Xmas cd is now officially Dean Martin's 'Making Spirits Bright', complete with an alternate version of 'Let It Snow!'. It's kooky, upbeat fun with Deano at his laid-back best. Lissen to it!

If this disc doesn't fill you with cheer, you're the fucking Grinch...

Since this a long, on-going thread, it's been like 3 months since my last reply. I still find myself listening to a lot of Strokes, White Stripes and Gorillaz, but now I'm doing the re-discovery of older stuff thing: Eels - Beautiful Freak (Suddenly I can't stop listening to this! Time to get more E...
