Glorious Vinyl on CD... asking a big favor

Back some time ago, the regulars on the GloNo Message Board, we would have great mix CD swaps. One of the CDs I created and distributed was called Glorious Vinyl. I was actually pretty damn proud of that CD, but my copy of it has unfortunately become unplayable. The favor I'm asking is that if anyon...

Re: Do I need OU812 and F.U.C.K.?

Also, be aware that the vinyl of OU812 did not include their cover of Little Feat's "A Apolitical Blues", due to time limitations of the LP ...

Re: The almost-goodbye-to-Glono what are you listening to th

I'm digging on the final Material Issue album, Telecommando Americano , which I finally got last week. For years, I'd been irrationally avoiding picking this up, even though I'm a big MI fan. I guess I was turned off by the whole idea of a posthumous release, "Let's put bass and drums on Jim Ellison...

Re: Best album in the last 15 years?

Hmm, I'm gonna just throw a bunch of excellent favorites against the wall; whether they stick is up to you ('cause they most certainly do for me!): Primal Scream - Vanishing Point Primal Scream - XTRMNTR (although it hasn't aged nearly as well as Vanishing Point ) Verbow - White Out The Wrens - Mead...

You Weren't There: Chicago punk documentary

Has anyone seen this? I haven't, but it's a (reportedly) great documentary on Chicago's contribution to the punk scene, including contributions from a musician I'm nuts about, Jason Narducy, on the punk band he was in at the time (Verboten). Jason was only, like, 12 years old when he was a part of t...

Re: Entirely new test thread

As long as we cool. Yes, I'm slightly embarrassed, but you handled it cleverly. And yes, I think I had the hunch about "North Contry Girl" a little while ago. Pete did it on the Live To Benefit Maryville Academy album, and he followed a totally different arrangement, which led me to look into it and...

Re: Entirely new test thread

I saw the best posts of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through a host of malware.... That's a Pete Townshend reference, right?? Yes. It was in the original libretto to Tommy , but Allen Ginsberg stole it before Townshend could publish. Ah, a wiseg...

Re: Entirely new test thread

Well, at the risk of this sounding like a gratuitous smoke-blowing exercise, GloNo's worth the wait.
