this album is probably one of my favorite suprises this year. i didn't expect the guitarist from pulp to put out such an intriquing album. brooding and intimate this album displays a style that akin to some of the finer moments found in late 50's and early 60's pop and twang. all music name checks roy orbison, elvis and scott walker as reference points to his sound and i would have to agree that. especially the scott walker reference. this is the sort of album that can define a season and beyond. it's a perfect fall/early winter album.

Well, from your description and Loftus's review, it's made my list. It sounds really good.
