Evan Dando blasts Bush

Post by D. Phillips » Thu Mar 20, 2003 11:24 am

Former Lemonhead Evan Dando launched into a tirade at a London in-store appearance. Kind of sounds off his nut in this one:

"Fuck George W Bush in the mouth and up the arse, then cut his dick off and shove it up his arse, then shove it up his God's arse. I hate that motherfucker, I love my country. That guy is trying to kill all of us. Fuck George Bush in the c**t."

I bet Dando just made Bush's 'enemies list'.

Dando may end being a "target of opportunity" if he doesn't watch his ass.

Nor is he likely part of the "coalition of the willing."

Did somebody screw up and inform Evan Dando that

1. he was talented

2. anyone gives a crap what he has to say?

3. what he has to say resembles intelligence in some shape or form?

What is this former pin-up/pretend "rock star" doing getting quoted anywhere? He has always been a world-class dunce/4th rate musician. Jeez, at least the guys who did the "Curly Shuffle" had a song worth talking about.

Ah, finally, the sad* truth is laid bare for all the world to see like a starlet attempting to resuscitate a stillborn career with a centre spread. My own indifference to Mr. Dando turned to disgust once I heard his abysmal cover of Big Star's "Ballad of El Goodo". As a fan, Big Star would be the LAST group I'd cover, for fear of desecrating the memory of the original by putting out a shoddy, half-assed coattail-riding attempt at tribute (as Mr. Dando had done). Even "It's A Shame About Ray" copied the Smithereens style-for-style. Yes, Mr. Dando will someday soon join Karl Wallinger in the Hall of Shame for not having a single original musical thought.

Thanks, rant against the talentless is over. Go back to listening to your CDs of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers' LAMF. What?? You haven't heard it yet?

THIS CD WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!!

Fucking amazing disc...

*sad, that is, for Lemonheads fans, but obvious for the rest of us punters.
