Isn't it time for message boards to make a comeback?

Right? Aren't we all sick of Facebook and Twitter now? Let's bring back message boards full of likeminded community members!

I'm semi-active on two message boards (both professional) and nobody knows a damn thing about music. I miss those conversations!

(let's see how long it takes anyone to notice this...)

I look at this every once in a while, so I'll play.

I just added a "thumbs up" feature that allows us to show appreciation for posts.

I'm game. I miss the music conversations. The only other message board I frequent is a 4K UHD/Blu-ray board and I don't think they know much about music. Much less good music. I'm glad I found this thread. Payday is coming on Friday and I am thinking of buying new music, but I cannot decide between these three choices:

- Sound and Fury by Sturgill Simpson
- Dead Man's Pop by The Replacements
- No Home Record by Kim Gordon

I've only heard one song each from Sturgill and Kim's record and I like the Sturgill one better. Though I am leaning towards Dead Man's pop (though it's more than I want to spend right now). What's the consensus on these? Give me some help Glonoers. The Glo No signal has been lit. Keep in mind my spending budget is short and I've still got to get a Discman.

This article convinced me I need Dead Man's Pop: https://aquariumdrunkard.com/2019/10/08 ... -mans-pop/

The three songs I've heard from Kim Gordon's new one are all badass: http://gloriousnoise.com/2019/new-kim-g ... ungry-baby

Haven't heard any of that Sturgill Simpson but I hear it's great.

So...no help from me!

Bigger question: you don't stream at all?

Stream?! Are you kidding? Not hardly. I only stream at night when I'm listening to music to try to go to sleep and even then I don't do it very often. I usually just play whatever's on my Hi-Res DAP. I listen to all my music on vinyl and CD for the most part (95% to be exact). I have no care for streaming. I dont like using my phone for anything to do with music if I can help it. I am currently rocking this:

and will be hopefully rocking this one soon:

Getting into 4K UHDs has gotten me more into physical media. Plus, the sound on these old Discmans cannot be beat. I pair them with a set of noise-canceling headphones and a headphone amplifier. The sound is amazing.
