Have any of you guys read Ryan Walsh's book on Boston (the city, not the band) and Van Morrison's album Astral Weeks?

Have you listened to the author's band, Hallelujah the Hills? He sent me an advance of their new album, I'm You, and I've got to admit it's absolutely blowing my mind.

It's so fucking good that I am feeling compelled to dig into their back catalog and read the guy's book.

THANKS, JAKE!!! Listening now, and it's flooring me how good this is. Liking his vocals. Digging into R.E.M. and I've got Hatfield tickets to get hopefully, but I will definitely pick this up when it streets. I want to thank you again. This is why I come here. This place is MUCH needed in this day and age. Missed this part of my life so much. I hate what life has taken from me.

This really is an amazing album. I’ve been listening to it straight out for almost 2 weeks.

Right? I've been wondering if it just hit me at a particular moment in my life, or if it really is as good as I thought it was. But man, either way, it's going to stay on my list of most mindblowing albums ever.

The live album is great. Sounds like there are maybe 15 people in the room?

Yeah I bought it Friday and listened to it while chopping up downed trees and branches with a chainsaw this weekend. Need to give it a closer...plus explore more of their back catalog.
