My mother insists that "the man on the cover is wearing a dress." Can anyone help me with an explanation? Does anyone know what I am talking about, even?

It's the way his shirt blouses out on the left (Paul's right) of the photo.
It does kinda make him look like Kathleen Hanna.

I too think it's just blousey-ness.

I found this cool Clash walking tour trying to find out.

dammit, my wife and I stayed in westminster a year or so ago on our honeymoon for a day...If we'd have known we could've done this...dammit. We did get to see a few spots from Amelie in Paris at least!

Jake and I pretty much did the "Panic" tour of the UK years ago. BOLD denotes towns we actually hit.
Panic on the streets of London
Panic on the streets of Birmingham
I wonder to myself
Could life ever be sane again
On the Leeds side-streets that you slip down
I wonder to myself
Hopes may rise on the Grasmeres
But Honey Pie, you're not safe here
So you run down
To the safety of the town
But there's panic on the streets of Carlisle
Dublin, Dundee, Humberside
I wonder to myself
Burn down the disco
Hang the blessed D.J.
Because the music that they constantly play
IT SAYS NOTHING TO ME ABOUT MY LIFE
Hang the blessed D.J.
Because the music they constantly play
On the Leeds side-streets that you slip down
On the provincial towns that you jog 'round
Hang the D.J, Hang the D.J, Hang the D.J
Hang the D.J, Hang the D.J, Hang the D.J
HANG THE D.J, HANG THE D.J, HANG THE D.J
HANG THE D.J, HANG THE D.J, HANG THE D.J

With the album cover nod to Elvis, it however fails to mention the Train in Vain, Robert Johnson connection. It's all about Memphis, I tell you.

Where's the album cover nod to Elvis? I'm confused.

Now, show me a single song since Viva Hate where Morrissey produced lyrics which rolled as nicely as these.
