I was thinking more of a Jean Beauvoir (Plasmatics) kind of look:

But that's just the kind of motherfucker I am: a sad, obscure reference toting man-child that stays up to witness a wacky spectacle of a Sly Stone sighting on network television. So bizarre, it was worth it.

So question...sort of caddy but my girfriend and I couldn't figure it out: Was there something wrong w/Sly's neck or was that the gold dracula collar he was wearing?

Overall, let me just say i thought he might just hurt everyone on that stage. It was fun, mesmerizing, sad, scary, and utterly jaw dropping. Who would have figured the grammy's had anything remotely approaching those descriptives...

From what I heard, it was the outfit and he looked down the entire performace in a cocaine-makes-you-paranoid + damn-these-lights-are-bright kind of way. And your descriptives are exactly why I loved that moment. The actual tribute sucked, but just the possibility that Sly could have gone wiggy on CBS was enough to keep me lookin' at that car wreck. Next year: Syd Barrett!

I thought he looked wacky & cool.
Rock stars should look like they're from another planet.
He did appear to be a bit dazed....
These days most rock singers all look like they all wear high end couture.

I kept looking at his bandaged right hand. I swear to god it looked like he was missing his pinky.
