Who's excited for some Homegrown?

Post by Jake »

I am! The two new songs Neil has released so far are living up to my expectations based on the songs we already know ("Love Is A Rose," "Homegrown," and perhaps my all-time favorite Neil song, "Star of Bethlehem").

You know I am jazzed for this. I am almost as excited for this as I was for Hitchhiker, which more than lived up to my expectations.

Hitchhiker blows my mind. It's unbelievably good. Neil was on such a roll throughout the 70s, he could almost do no wrong. The fact that his unreleased stuff is this great is absolutely bonkers.

It's release day! My vinyl won't be here until next week but I am streaming on Spotify right now and it sounds terrific. All Neil's classic tones and Levon on drums for a couple tracks? Yes, please.

This album is so good.

And wtf is "Florida"?!? Possibly the weirdest song Neil ever released? Love it.
