If you love “twang” as much as you hate New Country, then you might want to check out Wayne “The Train” Hancock. This new song contains a verse that might as well be his bio:

And ever since I’ve worked to hone my craft

I saw Hancock at a small club a few years ago, and I remember thinking it was as close as I’d ever come to seeing Hank Williams. Senior, of course. Critics might blow him off as merely a mimic, but see him live and you’ll be convinced of his authenticity and you’ll realize that this music is alive and just as vital as it was sixty years ago. Wayne Hancock is the real thing.
