Arabian Prince – Let's Hit the Beach

MP3: Arabian Prince – “Let’s Hit the Beach” from Innovative Life, a collection of electro-rap recorded between 1984 and 1989, out now on Stones Throw Records.

Arabian Prince worked with the World Class Wreckin Cru along with Dr. Dre and was an early member of NWA. He’s best known as the one dude you don’t know on the album cover of Straight Outta Compton.

  1. I’m a sucker for early electro like this. If that’s Arabian Prince rapping, though, he should really stay behind the boards! I think my two-year old niece can rock fresher rhymes than that. I mean, the vocals are never strong in these tracks, but this is particularly awful! I’ve found a couple of Wreckin’ Cru 12-inches over the years. They’re great. “Surgery,” in particular, is a jam. The cover art is awesomely hilarious, too. Good stuff. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.discogs.com/image/R-150-48533-1158680665.jpeg&imgrefurl=http://www.discogs.com/release/48533&h=150&w=150&sz=8&hl=en&start=19&usg=__zPexkgHwMu19TbhoF2EV-vwAKvk=&tbnid=38Q4O-GDMlU1KM:&tbnh=96&tbnw=96&prev=/images%3Fq%3D%2522wreckin%2527%2Bcru%2522%2Bsurgery%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DG
