The 2008 Village Voice Pazz & Jop Critics’ Poll results are in. TV on the Radio is the big winner.
579 critics participated this year, which is slightly up from 2007’s 577. Only 494 submitted ballots in 2006, the year the Voice shitcanned Robert Christgau, the guy who created the poll and ran it since 1974. That was also the year that Idolator started a competing poll, since abondoned. In Christgau’s final Pazz & Jop in 2005, 795 critics voted.
