  1. Damn. I’m renting tuxes for the band next time I record… Dress for success! Great video.

I was definitely reminded of ELO’s “Don’t Bring Me Down” while watching it… After clicking through and seeing the YouTube comments, was led to this:

Q: The lead single to Lex Hives, ‘Go Right Ahead’, sounds suspiciously a lot like Electric Light Orchestra’s (ELO) ‘Don’t Bring Me Down’…
A: We made the song, and we were really happy with the song. But months later we realised that it sounded a lot like ELO’s ‘Don’t Bring Me Down’, so we contacted Jeff Lynns and basically gave him a cut off the songwriting. It wasn’t intentional though. Somehow subconsciously that ELO track was probably where it came from.

    … so that’s interesting.

  2. i love ELO but it didn’t come to mind when i heard this, the songs have a totally diff thing going. Great video, and what a totally lovable hard-working crew, “Knock knock, here to rock.” We’re roadtripping to see them in June—XLNCE.

  3. Jeeziz, just the other day I was wondering “Whatever happened to the Hives?”

This sounds like a lock for purchase…
