OH MY GOD (Midwest, Trail Of Dead version)

Post by nobodygirl » Wed Apr 20, 2005 7:11 pm

LOOK AT THIS LINEUP, Y'ALL. ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead is playing in my hometown on Saturday, FOR FREE. Midwest people who have cars take note. I would put this in the other thread, but I am putting it here for gloating purposes. NEENER NEENER NEENER.

That is all.

Ghoulies go on at 4:50, y'all. Be there or be square. I will, unfortunately, be square.

That's pretty kickass. But this might keep your enthusiasm in check:
The Northern Pines Band - Headlining the East Stage is this Madison-local modern groove-oriented jam rock band.
If that doesn't strike fear in your heart, nothing will. Stay away from that East Stage!

But the Ghoulies as a bonus almost makes up for it.

That is quite the lineup. I'd consider going, if the IRS hadn't taken all my money. Anyone know any good ramen recipes?

there's nothing wrong really with a jam rock band. it depends on the band but at least their always going to be orginail.

Too bad "original" doesn't always mean "good", esp. with dime-a-dozen jam bands.

Jamming is fine. I just ask that bands don't do it in front of other people.

Everything is wrong with being original if the result is completely unlistenable.

(man, we got ourselves a team of one liners on our hands here. zing, &c.)

this is all very true. now if the band is really good it's fun to see them on stage jamming, changing up a song, or going for a long solo. i really like it when they come up with new stuff on the spot there at the show. this is of course if they're a really good band. i admitt i loved phish's last cd but i would never want to see them live. god they are so boring and repetitive. yes, they jam. but do i need to hear a 30 minute jam. within reason folks. within reason.
