By the way Erica, the Death Cab show on Saturday was awesome. I finally caught them on a headlining set, so they did a whole range of songs, and a pretty cool cover song, which I won't ruin for you. If they are nearly as good tonight as they were Saturday, you're in for a good show. That is, if you can stand watching the teeny-boppers grinding to "We Laugh Indoors." Yeah, that was a little irritating to watch.

Don't worry about ruining it for me because it's ruined already.
I missed BOTH shows.
Yeah it really blows, being that I've only seen them once.
And I've never seen The Faint.
I had mandatory overtime.
What cover song did they do there?
Probably a great one.
Any news on a possible new Postal Service album right off the top of your head?
I'll bet they played Title and Registration AND Why'd You Wanna Live Here? last night.
Did you see them with PGMG? They're a good group. But I only have The New Romance.
I'd kill to see a TV on the Radio/Young Liars show.

Oh one more thing-
GRINDING? To Death Cab?
How is THAT done?
It makes you wonder how they ever heard of Death Cab in the first place.

That really sucks you missed the shows. I know Death Cab tours a lot though, so you'll probably have another chance.
They did a great version of "Title and Registration"- the organ was more prominent live than in the studio. They didn't do "Why You'd Want to Live Here" this time, but they were doing it on the last tour. They didn't do "A Movie Script Ending" or "Tiny Vessels" this time around either, which I was hoping to hear.
The highlights were "Title Track," "Company Calls," and "Expo '86." The cover was that Freedy Johnston song "Bad Reputation." Then they ended with an extended version of "Scientist Studies."
Pretty Girls Makes Graves opened, and they were actually a lot better than I remember them being. I never was really a fan, but they actually put on a really good set.
And yes, watching some sorority girl grinding to DC with her beefcake boyfriend was every bit as nauseating as you might imagine.
I saw the Faint a year ago with Les Savy Fav: that show was fucking insane. Looks like I'll be missing them this year as well, sucks too because a Faint/Tv on the Radio show should be really cool. That's okay, because its on to the Pixies in December, hopefully you'll get to see that show.
