About Sonic Jihad
After a mild hiatus Paris returns with his most pointedly-focused and brutal
condemnation of the ills of society to date. Waging righteous warfare (hence
the title) on all that he perceives as being wrong with world in this current
political climate of manufactured fear and "War on Terror," he covers such
issues as the New World Order, the manmade origins of AIDS, military lies
and propaganda, police brutality and the embarrassing state that hip hop is
currently in. The first single, "What Would You Do?” has already been a
lightning-rod for controversy in the United States, garnering coverage from
such notable sources as MTV2, The New York Times and MSNBC for it’s
suggestion that the Bush Administration played a key role in orchestrating
the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. And it doesn’t stop there -- the
album also features input from progressive hip-hop visionaries Dead Prez,
Public Enemy and Kam. Add dancehall sensation Capelton to this already
impressive mix and you have a potent molotov cocktail of an album ready to
explode.

As one of the few remaining artists who can be relied upon to remain
consistent with both his content and his dedication to musical quality, Paris'
latest effort will please not only his existing loyal supporters, but should
prove to gain him many new listeners as well.

What we need now is for supporters to let buyers at stores in their area know
that there is demand for Sonic Jihad! Let your local djs and radio stations
know that you support real hip-hop and demand more from your
entertainment! Also, please visit our “Downloadable Press Kit” section at
our site at http://www.guerrillafunk.com/press/presskit.html and post our
web site address and graphics on other sites, music related message boards,
news groups, and chat rooms. We thank you in advance for your dedicated
support!

About us:

Guerrilla Funk Recordings was born out of necessity. It’s a musical
organization that was founded by Paris - the politically conscious artist best
known for the incendiary song “Bush Killa” - that’s specifically intended
to counter the corporate stranglehold of censorship currently plaguing the
entertainment industry. It is intended to provide balance in this intolerant
climate of suppression of free speech and artistic expression, and to serve as
a vehicle for those who are unable - not because of lack of talent or relevance
- to be heard. Understand that there now exists a harmful double-standard at
most record labels of endorsing artists who only espouse misogyny,
mindless violence, and drug culture references in their music -- while at the
same time ignoring artists who strive to enlighten and inspire. It is our
pledge at Guerrilla Funk Recordings not to follow suit.

In GuerrillaFunk.com you will find all of the information that you always
wanted to know about Paris - and much, much more! From Music to World
News, Real Estate info to Financial Planning assistance, GuerrillaFunk.com
as it all - but with an alternative twist! Be sure to check out the timely and
informative essays in the “Thought Box” section - and dig the videos and
new music throughout! Also, be sure to visit the “Press” section and our
“Downloadable Press Kit” for graphics and tools to help support
GuerrillaFunk.com!
