3. Johnny Cash – “American VI: Ain’t No Grave” – 54,000 (debut)

4. Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” – 50,000 (down 23%)

5. Lady Gaga – “The Fame” – 48,000 (down 23%)

6. Lil Wayne – “Rebirth” – 37,000 (down 36%)

7. Ke$ha – “Animal” – 32,000 (up 7%)

8. Susan Boyle – “I Dreamed a Dream” – 30,000 (down 41%)

9. Taylor Swift – “Fearless” – 28,000 (down 13%)

10. Justin Bieber – “My World” – 26,000 (down 20%)

Proof there’s no accounting for taste:

1994’s American Recordings peaked at #110, 1996’s Unchained stalled at #170 and 2000’s American III: Solitary Man made it to #88. But the last three were solid hits. 2002’s American IV: The Man Comes Around reached #22 and, as noted above, the fifth and sixth installments both made the top 10.

Those first three American albums are so much better in every possible way than the last three. Oh well.
